@Judy aka L@dybug: Thanks Judy, Though, It's late afternoon :) I know it's confusing, expecting the sun to be where the ocean is, but this particular location is perpendicular to the main land, which is that strip that you see in the distance

sitting under this tree i think, would gives a lot of energy, the tree has accumulated for so many years! this fact together with this outstanding mood and light near the end of the day creates one of this special moments in life, where we should search for!

Oh, this is funny. I figured CA is on the west coast with water west of it, therefore when the sun is on the 'other side' it must be east! (grin) ... Thanks for clarifying and letting me know this is the setting sunlight. ♥

@Judy aka L@dybug: Exactly...just that Monterey being on a peninsula, if you are on one of the sides of the peninsula, and not the tip of it, the sun could be on a different angle then expected. Thanks Judy, I hope you will have a wonderful rest of the weekend and a lovely 4th of July! ♥

This image has a lovely feel to it Maria - as do the majority of your images. There always seems to be such a personal connection to what you photograph, which is essential in my opinion.
